2009 Week 1 Who Do I Start Thread (WDIS)

WDIS threads will be posted every Monday. All game times listed are EST, the world's time zone.

Please post any roster questions for Week 1 in this thread.
Not sure who to start? Post your questions here. Please do not ask to have your entire lineup filled out for you.

All posts must contain the following information for you to get the best answer:

    * Include your league scoring for the players in question.
    * How many do you start at that position?
    * Who are they playing?

    For example:
WDIS Thomas Jones vs MIA or LenDale White @ HOU. We start 2 RBs and my other starter is Joseph Addai.
We get 20yds/pt rushing and receiving, td/6pts.

man, you know it's bad WR, when you have to give an example, but you can be sure that there will be posts that don't follow the rules. lol

WDIS Ted Ginn @ATL or Donnie Avery @SEA or Justin Gage @PIT. We start 3 WRs and my other starters are Anquan Boldin and Braylon Edwards. We get 10yds/pt rushing and receivning, td/6pts.

don't know the scoring for foxsports but i need 2 out of 4 WRs: Anthony Gonzalez vs. JAC, Derrick Mason vs. KC, Dwayne Bowe @BAL or Donnie Avery @SEA.

Also, who should I start at RB with MJD and Leon Washington (he's at flex): Pierre Thomas vs. DET, Correll Buckhalter @CIN or Laurence Maroney @BUF? thanks

first one Avery, trufant is on the PUP and seattle's pass defense is going to be bad.

second one Bowe and Avery, Bowe is a NBYS (never bench your studs) and baltimore's defense took some hits in the secondary this offseason. I don't like the matchup for gonzo and derrick mason is not a weekly starter in my opinion

third, the obvious choice is Thomas against detroit, but he is questionable at this point and there is a real possibility that he won't play, if he does, then you play him, if thomas is out, then I would play maroney, Denver is moreno's show and in NE there is at least going to be a rotation so would get more snaps from maroney than you would buckhalter.

You ain't kidding. You can look back at the WDIS threads from the past 2 seasons and see just that. Player names are useless without giving minimal background info like scoring and number of starters. Years ago I used to post on the KFFL WDIS threads and adopted their hardcore stance on following that rule. No team info = no WDIS help. :icon_cool:

it's really that difficult to post

1pt/10 yards, ppr or no ppr, we start 3 WR's I have to decide between A or B?

I'd go Rice against KC in that spot....he should put up solid stats and has the potential for a huge game. If Nmandi is playing Jackson may not get a whole lot.

  13. VikingsFan28

    VikingsFan28 Wherever Alex Morgan is

Brandon Marshall or Dwayne Bowe 1/10 yrds 6/td

  14. mike oxlong

Bowe, Marshall hasn't played the whole offseason and might not know the playbook yet. He has no rapport with Orton and I think Bowe should be a beast this year.

eddie royal or reggie bush? ppr

Go with Eddie Royal. Bush is just getting back.

    K Train Do You Honeycutt?

i guess im asking if i should MAYBE take a chance on bush over one of kevin smith, eddie royal, anquan boldin or steve smith (car)

    or leave it as is

  18. Wacko4Flacco

    Wacko4Flacco Prima Ballerina

You have to keep S.Smith, Boldin, and Royal. Now K. Smith or Bush they are playing against each other. The Saints defense is not good and the Detroit Lions defense also isn't great, but K. Smith is going to get the majority of the carries. I'd go with K. Smith.

  19. K Train

    K Train Do You Honeycutt?

the thing about bush is hes running behind a better line and going against a worse defense than smith....if pierre thomas is really out and bush is really good to go he should do some major damage to detroit both on the ground and get receptions out the butt. i hope bush makes me look like a genius but im not banking on it

  20. Wacko4Flacco

    Wacko4Flacco Prima Ballerina

Is Pierre Thomas really out for sure. That is something you should monitor because if Thomas is out than I would say go with Bush over K. Smith.
