dude if that is accurate someone needs to sneak in to Al Davis' office and put his butt out to pasture....wait....maybe we can squeak out a couple more deals first...I seriously question the legitimacy of this...it's crazytalk

If he wants a new deal thats a good sign for Raiders fans

No he doesn't.....Plummer (QB) didn't want to play for the Tampa Buccs, so he told them he wasn't turning up and retired. Now, financially it can be painful to do, and you can also maybe force a trade to another team, but it's unlikely but possible and has happened.

obviously he can retire but the Pats will still get the pick

Not if he never takes the physical....

Every trade is subject to the physical, if he never takes it, it doesn't go through.

The only way they get Seymour there longterm is with a crap load of money to kill the pain of playing in the black hole of oblivion. Otherwise one year, POOF, he's gone, and Raiders shell out a #1 draft. I wonder what kind of cap the Raiders got to swing this?

i work with a guy who is a big raiders fan and of course he's excited about this. when talking about signing this guy long-term, everyone remember that '10 is likely going to be an uncapped season to davis could just throw mad money at him and be ok with the cap.
