NBCSports.com's reporter Tom Curran reports that as of last night Raiders defensive end Richard Seymour was still in Massachusetts, nearly four days after he was traded. Seymour's official deadline to show up in Oakland before he forfeits a game check is Monday. At this point it seems unlikely that Seymour will join the Raiders before their Monday night game against the Chargers. Source: ProFootballTalk.com
Sigh, as if giving up a high pick wasnt enough. Atleast he can act like a pro and show up and play, we need him vs SD. Im sick of these babies who get paid millions to do a job. Next they want to choice where they play and how much they get paid .... :(
lol, the raiders are hilarious. I want to see all those raider fans who said this was a great move. nowhere.
This will be a blessing in disguise for the Raiders...they should just shut their mouth and hope he never shows in hopes to get that No.1 pick back...
I think its a great move , I am still hoping he shows up, he would greatly help our D but it just sucks he isnt actually here.
He is property of the faiders now so he will show. but i think his stock will fall in a 4-3. he was never mistaken for a speed guy. But he can still defend the run.
He played 4-3 at Georgia and he played 4-3 his first two years with the Pats, he made his the probowl his second year as a DT in the 4-3. He can play in the the 4-3.
I also think its a great move in a weak division why shouldnt we make moves to try and win right now. You know how i feel about your asinine opinions. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Wait and see how the cassel trade will go as far as i know youve had a disgruntled over the hill back. Lets just say not all your moves are great either. What you should of done with that money you gave cassel is upgrade that line for thigpen.
I love how opinions that are backed up by facts are considered asinine. Yup, sounds like a raiders fan, why let facts get in the way? lol Seymour is not as good as he was. He no longer requires a double team. He can be handled by one blocker on the line. He will only play 3-4 more years at the max and that's if he plays at all for the raiders, but you go ahead and give up a pick that would have put a player on your team for close to a decade, yeah this is the year the Raiders are going all the way. Screw first round picks, seymour is the missing piece to the puzzle. A guy who doesn't even want to play there is going to turn around a putrid offense that he doesn't even play on. Two years from now when seymour is a memory or soon to be, and your future that you could care less about now is in shambles, we'll see how happy you are about the seymour trade then. Blind loyalty beats out logical understanding in Oakland every time.
He played end in a 3-4 last year , and got a career high in sacks. Just by playing end in a 3-4 he must of gotten double teamed majority of the time thats how a 3-4 works.
