Former Eagles right tackle Jon Runyan worked out for coach Andy Reid, offensive line coach Juan Castillo and general manager Tom Heckert before practice today. The Eagles confirmed that Runyan worked out for team today. According to Reid, the team wanted to see where the long-time Eagles tackle was physically in his rehabiliation. Runyan's agent said that there have been no contract talks with the Eagles and that they are off to Buffalo next.
Having him back on the team regardless of him being a starter is a good thing. He was loved by the team and fans.
I think he more or less did that because he was confident it would go well and that word would get around to the other teams. I can't see him going to the Chiefs...it would be a good fit for KC, but why would he go?
The fact that Andrews is out and Runyan who knows our D better then our D coordinator left Philly without a word about signing tells me he must not be ready or wants too much money
Or they didn't want to sign him until after week 1 so he doesn't get guaranteed salary for the season.
