The bulletin board material continues to come fast and furious from Florham Park, N.J., home of the New York Jets. Jets safety Kerry Rhodes told Gary Myers of the New York Daily News that the Jets not only want to beat the Patriots on Sunday they want to "embarrass" them and send a message. Rhodes said enough is enough. "Not just go out there and try to win, try to embarrass them," said Rhodes. "Try to make them feel bad when they leave here. We don't want to just beat them. We want to send a message to them, 'We're not backing down from you and we expect to win this game, and it's not going to be luck, it's not going to be a mistake." Source: Boston.com
I have no problem with any of Rex Ryan's comment's at all, but Rhodes comments are real bulletin board material that can fire a team up. These comments IMO aren't necessary and Brady and co. may try to put up 70 this week. I still think it will be a good game, but if that offense starts clicking look out.
:icon_cheesygrin: Well, that will be a motivational challenge for Brady to burn Rhodes for multiple TD's Sunday.
I don't get it every time someone taks crap like this against Brady they get lit up. I'm all for confidence, and like I said I don't even mind Ryan's comments. This though IMO is flat out dumb.
If these guys lose they will all look like butthole and Rex may begin to have a bit of a time controlling his locker room - this is exactly why he wasn't chosen as HC in Baltimore.
Doesn't everybody eat their words when they talk smack about the Pats? LMAO! Remember, talking about it and actually are two totally different things.
If the Jets lose, should I even bother watch any football related show, or ESPN for a week (other than for baseball)?
When will they ever learn? You talk crap about Brady and company it usually turns into you getting your asses whipped!!
The thing is, he's one year late. Last year, we all saw they were human, after all and that they could be beat and beat hard. But now, it just sounds cocky and ill-considered. Should be a good game to watch, anyway.
