Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith Headline Hall Of Fame Nominees

Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith headline the preliminary list of modern-era nominees for induction next year in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The list released Saturday includes 131 players, coaches and contributors. Other modern-era nominees include Tim Brown, Herschel Walker, Cris Carter, Andre Reed and Sterling Sharpe while former commissioner Paul Tagliabue is on the list as well as two previously announced senior nominees, former Detroit Lions cornerback twinky LeBeau and former Denver Broncos running back Floyd Little.

Richard Dent
Jay Hilgenberg
Steve McMichael
Buddy Ryan but only listed as a coach for the Eagles and Cardinals
Clark Shaughnessy who was the coach from 1951-1962

 

Dermontti Dawson should get it eventually. Art Rooney Jr. will get in.

Donnie Shell is another Steeler on the list.

 

I went to the HOF game this year, this next year will be my first HOF Ceremony. Cannot wait.
