Raiders WR Javon Walker Doesn't Understand Lack Of Playing Time

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker said he is healthy, happy and performing as well as any of the other wide receivers on the Raiders roster and he has no idea why he isn't playing much. "I don't know what he's looking at," he said in response to coach Tom Cable saying Walker needs work getting in and out of breaks, running fast and separating from cornerbacks. "I feel like I'm doing fine. I'm sure there's more stuff going on than what we know, but I'm saying I can run, play. I'm doing the same thing that any receiver here is doing," said Walker, who underwent knee surgery in the offseason. "So, I can sit (out) as long as there's other reasons behind it, but (I shouldn't be) sitting because I can't come in and out of breaks, because I can do that."

Uhhh, Javon, you really think this is the best way to get on the field?

 

Hes a peice of crap. He had it made with the packers, and then he hecked his knee up and held out till we traded him. He can die for all i care.

 

This pisses me off too. If he's healthy then play him. No matter what he's going to be better then the rookies. He is for sure better then Heyward Bey. If your not going to start him then at least let him get 15-20 snaps a game. He has to be on the field to make up for the lack of experiance we have at WR. I want to see a Chaz-Walker starting lineup with Murphy at the slot. As far as Bey.... blah.

He was a great player till he blow his knees.

 

But now he's still a good player. At least a solid possesion WR. He can catch and he can move the chains. Well....if Jamarcus had any accuracy at all... but thats another story. Either way, I want him out there. Bey isn't ready.

 

Walker hasn't done anything since 2006. Why do you say he's good?

 

DHB is learning quickly from game to game but your right he is inexperienced so is Murphy. All I can think of why Walker isnt playing much is because Cable is being extra cautious with him. dont Understand why JLH isnt playing much I thought hed be starting opposite Schilens coming into the regular season but hes behind 2 rookies. He was our biggest playmaker at receiver towards the end of last season and J-rock had chemistry with him. I havent seen him do anything to warrant a demotion. Of course other than being hurt.

 

Cable is an idiot. Sure we will win a few games just purely on having the same system and coach for two years straight but overall in the grand scheme of things Tom Cable is not a good coach.

 

Yeah But I believe he is the Right Coach right now hes brought back some of the swagger the Raiders were known for. He might be missing it in the X's and O's category but atleast hes changing the attitude around Oakland.

 

JLH is a slot receiver. If he is fit he will play in 3WR sets as he did at the end of last season when Chaz & Lelie were the two ends.

Walker pissed off Cryptkeeper and we all know what happens when you piss off the old man <insert Marcus Allen>

 

JLH could play split end, he did it in preseason and was burning top notch Competition. When Chaz gets Back he will be the 4th wide out.
