Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the NFL may be questioning Deion Sanders over comments he made on NFL Network that two teams were willing to pay 49ers draft pick Michael Crabtree twice than what the 49ers were offering. The comments spurred the 49ers to file tampering charges against the New York Jets. Sanders is an employee of the NFL and the league could force him to divulge his sources or face termination.

sharing the same agent doesn't help in any way when your gums are flapping in the wind....go get em Roger...

  4. For once Deion is going to get what comes to him. He had no bizness in this situation. I wonder if HE is the one who has been fueling this fire with crabtree and the forty niners. He does have a huge voice in the NFL so to speak.

Here's the problem I have with this....if the NFL does indeed force Sanders to talk....then you can throw any journalistic integrity for NFL Network out the window. How are you going to force someone reporting a story to divulge their sources?

I don't know, when Sanders was talking about this he made it seem like he was privy to info on a personal basis and not on a journalistic basis, although I don't know if that makes it any different. Ultimately was he knew was legally hurtful so what do you do?

you said very eloquently exactly what i was going to say. 'State Run Media' comes to mind and the 'State' in this case is the NFL.
