Pro Football Talk reports that unsigned draft pick Michael Crabtree hasn't spoken with anyone in the 49ers organization in two weeks. Crabtree and his agent apparently have no sense of urgency to get this deal done and it appears that both sides are willing to be stubborn and stand pat. The receiver's agent is telling sources that at least one team is willing to give him a deal similar to Larry Fitzgerald's four-year, $40 million contract. Source: RotoTimes.com
Move on. Lets get those tampering charges proven and get some more draft picks. We lost a first round pick but at least were not going to pay one this year. We'll need the cap room for our 2 first rounders next year.
I really don't like Crabtree for this crap, I wish him nothing but the worst luck in his football career!! It wouldn't bother me in the slightest to see him have a career ending one!!
he didn't prove anything yet and want to be paid as high as the best WR in the NFL???:icon_frown: We don't need a diva like that in SF. let him gi whereever he wants! I wish him all the............. worst.....:icon_twisted:
I have not read up on the rules but the 49ers hold his rights up till the next draft so they could trade him after the season and recoup the first round pick the spent on him. I am not sure a team would trade a first but who knows. Cap space does not carrier over so if they do not use it this year it is not added to next. They could rework someone deal and pay them more this year and less next.
