Could Lions rookie LB DeAndre Levy replace injured Ernie Sims, who had started 50 straight games before missing Week Three, as the starter when Sims is healthy? Maybe. Levy had a smashing debut as a starter against the Redskins, including a key goal-line tackle on Redskins RB Clinton Portis, earning praise from head coach Jim Schwartz.

doubtful sims is the guy getting paid and its not like he has sucked levy is a rookie and had a great game but its not enough to start dumping talent

the more likely thing to happen would be for at the end of the season cut peterson (who has no cap hit) and then replace him with levy peterson has has been ok this season but his age might be starting to hinder him and add in another year it may be a smart move

    Replace Sims

I would say that Levy has done a very outstanding job and he leads Sims in tackles so far with really only one start, He is a rookie yes but his work record tells the story and he lead in tackles last week in chicago. He leads Sims in tackles I think by two or so. He had I think one forced fumble and he just is a energetic young man who loves to play the game. Not to mention is he can play either Middle or Outside which is great for the team. I truly feel is a full time starter and will be for a long time to come. We dont know whole lot about him but I think we will learn alot in the next couple weeks when he is leading in tackles! Also on a side note he was part of one of the Best Wisconsin badger lines in college and in high school he played in playoff game right after having surgery the same day I read! Mark my words he is here to stay and will have much sucess

he leads sims in tackles becuase sims went injured in week 2 missed week 3 and left early week 4 again with an injury

Levy played in replace of him in week 3 and week 4 and got garb time in week 1 and levy cant play MLB hes to small and played OLB in college and his "work story is 2 games" if you go by that then Amir Johnson should have been a Allstar for the pistons
