In addition to enduring yet another difficult loss, the Oakland Raiders are bracing for the possibility that coach Tom Cable could be arrested soon in relation to an alleged assault on an assistant coach. Criminal charges against Cable could lead to a suspension by the league. "Everybody is trying to figure out who's going to take over if Tom isn't here," said an assistant coach, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "John Marshall has a lot of experience, he's probably the guy. But it's nuts. It's crazy when you start to really think about it." If arrested, Cable could also face a suspension from the NFL for violation of the personal conduct policy. Under the policy, coaches and executives are held to the same standard, if not a higher one, than the players. Source: Yahoo! Sports
Maybe when the cops are beating at the door and he has nothing left to lose he'll finally bench Russell?
Cable isn't making the call on Russell. When did people start think that coaches make decisions in Oakland?
I think he has the call, its just if he makes it he'll get fired. Its not like the Crypt Keeper is there all the time - I think he just gets his daily updates from Darth Vader
This could be a severe blow to the Raiders organization:icon_rolleyes: Just does it really matter who the heck is coaching this team?
That's what you get for pushing people in chairs over and breaking breaking their jaw on a piece of furniture.
on a related note, raiders fans now hope that the cops also arrest Jamarcus Russell at the same time so the organization has no choice but to start a different QB.
