Panthers Need To Trade Jake Delhomme

Jake Delhomme needs to be traded, because he has already had his time in the spotlight. He has passed his prime. He sucks.

I don't think it would be a good idea to just pull the pin right now - we'll see what it looks like at seasons end.

 

He just signed a five-year, $42.5 million contract extension through 2014 back in April. He is literally impossible to trade, as no team would take on that contract.

 

it's not even about the other team, the panthers would get nailed with the entire amount of guaranteed money against the cap if they traded him.

 

If we use some of the more valuable draft picks, we could get rid of Delhomme. A freaking 7th round draft pick would be better than 0-16 at season's end.
