Mathias Kiwanuka loves his former defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, but the Giants' defensive end says he will never play for Spagnuolo's Rams if Rush Limbaugh purchases the team. Kiwanuka and the Jets' Bart Scott made it clear Thursday that they would never play for the Rams or any team owned by the controversial conservative radio host. "All I know is from the last comment I heard, he said in (President) Obama's America, white kids are getting beat up on the bus while black kids are chanting 'right on,'" Kiwanuka told The Daily News. "I mean, I don't want anything to do with a team that he has any part of. He can do whatever he wants, it is a free country. But if it goes through, I can tell you where I am not going to play." I don't blame him, no one pushes the racist white America movement more than Rush (Beck and Hannity are right behind).... I actually think this will affect him even being able to purchase the team before hand. But like you say Weezy, it's easy to say it but when push comes to shove lets see who turns down millions.....
actually i have never heard hanity play the race card. he's a flake just the same but i think he leaves the sharpton wannabe stuff to limprod and pecker.
If a bunch of White kids beat up a Black kid at the back of a bus, you'd certainly think racism was a factor. Why can't Rush point out the reverse situation? These millionaires all have contracts. I hope they violate them and Rush takes 'em to court.
LMAO, you can't honestly think that ONE situation is why I called Rush a "leader of the racist white American movement".........hilarious, too funny, your making my cheeks hurt I'm laughing so hard whew, thanks for that one
I can understand where the players are coming from, I mean no female Rutgers basketball players will be playing for Don Imus anytime soon.
This is simply ludicrous on it's best day. It's just a sign of how far this country has digressed over the years.:icon_sad: White = racist Black = no such thing.
eh, marge schott was WAY more racist than limbaugh and black players still played for her ...............
i think you're both hyperboling a bit. while rush isn't the leader of the white movement he certainly has shown his true colors many times on his radio show when it comes to his thoughts on race which is a shame because it takes away from when he actually makes a valid point like you brought up. where's jackason and sharpton for the white kids that get bum rushed by blacks because of their skin color ? ok, done political rant.
Yea i agree with that its a double standard. For example one of the times i was playing pickup basketball and we were picking teams and the guy dident know my name and said i got white boy. Nobody says anything about that but if i were picking and said i got black boy then thats not ok. It just makes the person look stupid cause most people with a brain dont talk like that.
It doesn't really matter if you/players are for or against Limbaugh. Bottom line is that he simply brings too much baggage to the table. No way will he be given a chance IMO. The NFL would have too much to answer for from detractors & wouldn't do anything that's not PC proof.
I agree with Mathias K.'s comments about why he wouldn't play for the Rams. I don't ban or push away from people for one comment, but when it's time after time, and comment after comment, I begin to question them. You can't honestly sit here and tell me that you have no earthly idea why some black players would not want to play for a Limbaugh owned team? Also, it's not the outcry over the black kids beating up the white kids, it's what he said about it "that's Obama's America, white kids getting beat up by black kids", you can't possibly defend that. If Sharpton said the reverse, it wouldn't be true either. There has been hostility and racial bigotry and tension bubbling under the surface for the past 30 years since we basically made public racism/discrimination illegal. With the election of Obama, both sides have come out full force, I say let them show their bigotry, that way we know who not to take any notes from. Being one of the few young black males on here I decided to give my viewpoint. Also, at the person above me's comment, that's the attitude of younger, ignorant children. Mature adults don't think in that style, they don't say "aye white boy get over here". Now I'm not going to say I've never said that, but 10 times out of 10, it's to a friend of mine where we've discussed something like that and it's all comedy. No one has said black people can't be racist, hell, I know a lot more racist blacks than I do racist whites, and I live in Alabama.
