Four players were fined by the NFL following the week 4 game between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions. Chicago Bears wide receiver Rashied Davis was fined $5,000 for an illegal crackback block and defensive end Adewale Ogunleye was fined $7,500 for a horse collar tackle. For Detroit, cornerback Anthony Henry was docked $7,500 for a horse collar tackle and running back Kevin Smith was fined $5,000 for a facemask infraction. Source: Chicago Sun-Times
This is amazing... A replay of the Ogun call was looked at & it was clearly shown that it wasn't a horse collar, not even remotely close. Yet the money making Goodell machine just keeps fillin' the coffers. I have to go check for the size for those phantom Raven hit fines that I know must be posted somewhere to add to the joke.
Opps i'm sorry, I just tackled you, heres a $7,500 fine for that. Honestly, I hope Ogunleye appeals this fine just for the hell of it.
