Bucs coach Raheem Morris has not been shy about calling out his players if he thinks they're underperforming. He's already done it to Gaines Adams and Kellen Winslow. And after Sunday's loss in Philadelphia that dropped the Bucs to 0-5, Morris did it again to receivers Michael Clayton and Antonio Bryant. Source: USAToday
I'm not a fan of calling your players out publicly. In full team meetings while reviewing tape? Sure. In a one-on-one, or even a position team meeting? Absolutely. But publicly? I don't think you're going to earn much loyalty from your team by doing it. I also think it invites the players to do the same thing about other players and the coaching staff. IMO, that's not the best thing for team chemistry and long term improvement of the team.
At this point in the Bucs season, calling out someone seems pointless ... ha, unless you are calling out the coach. Raaa Heeeeeeeem should take the Heeeeeeeeeeeeat.
Clayton has made it clear he couldn't catch an STD in a tramp house. Bryant got his big money contract and is cruise control this year. Coach Rah is starting to feel it down here. There was an article in the paper today asking if he was the right man for the job.
