Eli Manning had just thrown a bad interception early in the third quarter that killed any chance of a Giants comeback in their embarrassing meltdown against the Saints Sunday. He lost his trademark cool and blew up at a teammate. Manning yelled at running back Ahmad Bradshaw right in the middle of the field. Source: New York Daily News
in all fairness to Bradshaw, it wasn't a horrible decision (the Saints were blitzing and there was pressure coming from both sides). Bradshaw chose 1 side, Eli felt pressure from the other side and threw a horrible pbutt. Eli rushed the throw and made a bad pbutt. It wasn't entirely Bradshaw's fault.
Eli rushed the throw and made a bad pass because Bradshaw didn't make the block to give him enough tme to make a good pbutt. It's entirely Bradshaw's fault.
If I find a video I'll post it... I'm sure one will end up popping up. It was a frustrating day... and right or wrong, I enjoyed seeing that fire out of Eli.
Just because you are under pressure doesn't mean you should chuck the ball up for a quick pick. Bad move by Eli blaming his mistake on Bradshaw.
The play was @ 2:35 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=187E5eswd-Q]YouTube - NFL Week 6 - New Orleans Saints vs New York Giants[/ame] Bradshaw should have blocked to the right.
Pressure was coming from both sides. Bradshaw picked up the man on Manning's blind side. It is debatable which side Bradshaw should have blocked. Eli should have taken the sack or thrown the ball out of bounds. Hey, doo doo happens, but don't blame Bradshaw for the bad throw. Man up and take responsibility.
You got a saftey and a linebacker blitzing on the right. Bradshaw goes to block the DE that just about beat the left tackle, and that left an unblocked safety running right in Eli's face. He told him to block to the right and he didn't.
