Coaching is a big part of the problem, said the 86-year-old Titans owner Bud Adams, who made no promises about Jeff Fisher's future with the franchise beyond this season. Fisher, now in his 15th season at the helm of the Titans, is under contract through 2011. "If we end up losing every game or don't look better, I'd have to look at that pretty hard, you know what I mean?'' Adams said during a telephone interview Sunday night. "The way it is going, I don't know if we'll win any games, and that is unheard of in the National Football League. "Right now, it's as bad as I've seen it, and that's a long time. I've never had a team start out like this. We had the best record in the NFL last year. I can't understand it.'' The Titans have been outscored 127-26 in their past three games, have gone eight straight quarters without scoring a touchdown and are one of three winless teams in the league. "Even if I am unhappy, you don't make changes in the middle of the season. You don't know what you might end up with,'' Adams said of the coaching staff. Source: The Tennessean
damn, i'm good. called it a day in advance. seriously, though, i don't blame the front office if they want to seriously look at this and I'm a Fisher fan. Facts are facts and Fisher hasn't accomplished much with this team and THIS team is supposed to be a veteran team that doesn't fall apart like this. That's what all the rebuilding was about a few years ago....... we could understand it in 2004 and 2005 but THIS team shouldn't be doing this.
I don't see why they would bring him back after such a horrid start to the season, but they have to look back and see what he has done for the organization as a whole. Usually have been competitive, not too many losing seasons, playoffs, trip to the super bowl. But I don't see him being back after this season.
FINALY, he sucked in Houston and just had a few good seasons in Tenn. The Titans can do a lot better than Fisher, someone that will have common since to at least use a wildcat formation with VY.
Last year best record in the NFL. Now he's crap? Incredibly short-sighted thinking that Fisher should be replaced.
i agree with Matthew and not Texan. Fisher is a one of the most innovative/creative coaches of the last 20 years. He HAS had a lot of success with that organization through the years. However, all good things must come to an end and it may be best for everyone involved to just part ways after this season.
If you guys are old enough and not a bunch of snot nose kids you would know that Bud Adams use to change out coaches about as often as he changed out his tooth brush back in the days. I'm surpised he lasted this long with one coach but Jeff Fisher is a class act. If things don't work out for Kubiak I would love to replace him with Fisher. It's not Fishers fault his coaches keep jumping ship and it was Buds call to pick VY. He won't be unemployed for long.. I can see him in Dallas or Washington.
