Eagles Trade For Rams LB Will Witherspoon

Witherspoon is very underrated.

 

Let's not talk him up too much just yet. New environment, new defensive scheme, new 'co-workers'... He's got some work in front of him.

 

I was so happy when I heard about this trade. It's funny reading texts from my pissed off Rams fan friend.

 

trotter was a freaking joke and should have been deep depth, playing him on obvious run downs is meaningless when a QB can just audible to a pass and the middle is wide open. Trotter was possibly the worst move of the season.

 

exactly mike but because the eagles view the lb position the way they do trotter was the best option. sad but true.

this signing is nice but we still do not have a lb that can cover a te.

When is the eagles bye week and when do you think he will start? I think he will play right away but I am not sure when he would take over as a starter.

If they can get Trotter in there that fast, no reason they can't get this dude in this week.

my point is the unless the eagles change their scheme to get witherspoon on the te's we will have the same problems because they typically have an outside lb covering the te which is why since carlos emmons we havent had one that could handle the job.

again, this trade is nice but the benfits may be truely realized when bradley comes back next year.

 

Witherspoon will play outside and inside LB.

yeah Gaither's injury throws a wrench into the mix. Man I hate having trotter out there.

 

Is Mays a better option that Trot in the middle? I haven't seen one game this year so can't tell you.
