In the month since Michael Vick's controversial return to the NFL, his involvement in the Eagles' offense has decreased with each game. The quarterback-multipurpose player has gone from being on the field for 11 plays with the first team in his first game to five in the second game to just two in the Eagles' 13-9 loss at Oakland on Sunday. Of the 18 "Spread Eagle" plays Vick has been directly a part of, the Eagles have gained just 34 yards for a 1.9-yard average. "We signed him as a backup quarterback," Reid said Monday. "We have gotten probably a little bit more out of him than I thought we would have out of our other backup quarterbacks." Source: Philadelphia Inquirer
I figured you still had the taste of his jock in your mouth with how gaga you were for him.:icon_cheesygrin: Anyway I said that Vick was a worthless signing and I was right.
I was and i still like mike vick but we dont even use him. where ever he goes im still gonna be a fan of his.
I think we knew unless he went somewhere with an outright QB controversy, he wasn't going to be doing much. It's not needed. Eagles were successful without him and they really don't need him to spark the offense. Wish he would've went to Cleveland, because irony aside, and he and Josh Cribbs could do some damage.
MIke Vick was and is a great QB. Again he has been away from the game for (2) years and it will take some time with Vick, just like it would take time if Mcnabb was away from the game for (2) years. Like i said before Vick is the better option "IF" and "WHEN" he gets back on track. Vick has not been given alot of playing time by Coach Reid, Like Coach Reid said he is "slowly" bringing Vick into their offense and his playing time "will" increase. So Vick is going at " Coach Reids Pace." Mike Vick has already told everybody in his interviews that he is doing what he is told and running the plays that are given to him. which are alot of Wild Cat plays that display his mobility and a few plays were you can see he still has an excellent arm. What Vick brings to the table that Mcnabb doesn't is the Wild Cat option, Its very clear that Vick is alot faster that Mcnabb, and Vicks Passing skill have really improved, Vick is younger than Mcnabb, Vick is a talented athlete, Once Reid increases Vicks playing time, you will see who is the better QB. until that happens you really cant rate Vick. Only time will tell, Vick stays clean he willbe a starter with the Eagles or somewhere else... Only Time will tell
hahaha ........... that's my feeling on that comment too. at the risk of opening up an enormous michael vick debate, it's tough to say vick ever has been or ever will be a 'great' nfl qb and i was always a big vick fan because so much of what he brought to the field could not be measured in stats. guys would always just look at his passing stat line after the game and decide that he sucked. yes, he never really developed his passing skills at the nfl level, but he brought so much to the game with his scrambling abilities that he made his offense enormously better because d-coordinators would be focusing so much on how to stop him. people underestimated his impact on how defenses had to game-plan but to call him 'great' then or now is a little much ............
