The National Organization for Women has called for the suspension of Raiders coach Tom Cable while the team investigations allegations of assault against him. In comments to USA TODAY's Christine Brennan, NOW president Terry O'Neil said Cable should be out of work while the team looks into allegations by Cable's former girlfriend, Maria Lutz, that he assaulted her. Cable has acknowledged assaulting his former wife, Sandy Cable, during the 1980s. "The Oakland Raiders, properly, say they are undergoing a 'serious evaluation' of these recent allegations," O'Neil told Brennan. "At the very least he should be suspended during this process. … A man who has admitted battering his wife has no business being a role model for all of us who would like to be able to look up to the head coach of an NFL football team."

I don't even know what to say about this anymore even if he did it, however long ago, he probably doesn't deserve having his name destroyed and if he didn't do it - well thats even more disturbing.
I doubt this would be this silly if ESPN hadn't ran that smut-piece before their games on Sunday.

I allege that Terry O'Neil touched me in a no no spot. So going by her so called logic does that mean she should be suspended. It goes to show how little she knows about football. First no one looks up to anyone with the Raiders. Second he has Davis as his boss and Russel as his QB, I do not know how you can punish a guy more than that.

F you NAGs. No presumption of innocence? All because a woman says something happened 20 years ago? You greedy anti-men pigs.

Why don't you help solve a real problem?

One time....he also says he's never hit another woman...and why bring up something that happened over 20 years ago? I in no way, shape or form, think it's ever OK for a man to hit a woman....but this crap is getting ridiculous. It seems like the DA not pressing charges for the whole Hanson deal, all of a sudden these women are coming out of the woodwork alleging all kinds of things...and what can he do to prove he didn't hit them? Not a damn thing....it's a he said/she said nightmare.
