Coach Mike McCarthy said they didn't underestimate the Buccaneers, but the question had to be asked. McCarthy did admit he was worried about his team's demeanor entering the game, especially coming off an emotional loss to rival Minnesota last week. "We were concerned as a team coming in here," McCarthy. "I don't care who you play or what their record is, especially when you play a team on the road after a bye, it's a little bit more of a challenge. I'm not trying to make excuses. We did not play at the level that we needed to play at for four quarters today and that starts with me." McCarthy spoke of the Packers' inability to handle the emotional situations the game presented. "We need to handle the adversity that is in front of us," he said. "We didn't handle the adversity of the way that game went up and down. That starts with me." Source: St. Petersburg Times
honestly i hated the idea of freeman going in the first....i left him out of my mock completely, i just didnt think he was anywhere near ready. hes alot bigger than i thought he was, hes a solid guy with some wheels. i hate to say it but he looked like roethlisberger as a rookie out there....only black
mccarthy and his coaches should all be gone, if not right now then at the end of the season if the packers play from the last couple of season continues. about the only way they should keep their jobs is if they finish the season strong and finish 10-6 or better.
they need to just admit kampman cant be dropping back in coverage half the time....get him pass rushing at least 80% of the time
kampman is only 1 of dozens of things that the packer's coaches have screwed up. mccarthy's play calling is bad. the o-line coach has ruined those guys. the special teams coach is worthless. nothing on the defense is improving. i'm officially convinced that the problem IS mccarthy and his staff.
Today???? You mean this season Mike... McCarthy is only part of the problem. I blame it to the man who brought him in
