Apparently the NFL believes that a coach sticking up for his quarterback comes with a price. The league office has fined Falcons head coach Mike Smith $15,000 for his role in last Sunday's sideline confrontation with Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall during a melee caused when Atlanta QB Matt Ryan was launched through the Falcons bench area, FOXSports.com has learned. Somehow, the former Falcon Hall, who seemed to be just as involved as Smith, has to this point avoided getting fined. Source: FoxSports
If they are fining Smith, they definitely have to fine Hall, and Haynesworth. And throw Landry in there too for the late hit out of bounds.
