This is the last year on his contract and Chris Chambers doesn't know what might happen after this season. But he said he's getting to know quarterback Matt Cassel, learning the subtleties of Kansas City's offense, and growing comfortable with coach Todd Haley. ... Chambers said he's interested in returning to the Chiefs next year, if that's what it comes down to. He said it seems like the team is building something promising, despite a sloppy game like the one that played out in Chambers' old backyard. Source: KC Star
I didn't know the Chiefs offense had any subtleties. Were they used in the Pittsburgh game or the SanDiego game??
He is a very good veteran for the young offense, but at the same time he can only be so effective when Cassel has time. I hope he comes home to Miami.
I'm sure he'd love to stay if you guys are willing to pay him what he wants. He'd be a good mentor for Bowe, he did a great job with Jackson and Floyd. That along with his play would make it a good move for the Chiefs. Bowe, Chambers and Charles, those are some good skill players to work with on offense.
