Mike Tomlin said he is not concerned about a rift developing in the Steelers' locker room because of what Hines Ward said on NBC's pregame show. "Any time you get 53 men in a locker room, there's going to be disagreements and misunderstandings and miscommunications," Tomlin said. "I think it's highlighted by losing, and it becomes a story in times in the midst of losing. I tend to focus on the real root of our ills and that is searching for a winning formula. I think a win would solve a lot of issues." Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
Every single locker room for every single team in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL has a "rift." Not everyone gets along. Winning helps hide it more than losing, but "rifts" occur everywhere...it's natural. Wait until Hines Ward becomes a cancer...then there will be problems.
Actually, in the 12 years he's been on the Steelers, they've only had a losing season 3 times...worst record was 6-10...so he's not really used to losing...
Just win baby. Don't be surprised if Ward takes a football to the back of the head on the 'hot read' though. :icon_cheesygrin:
