Texans Owner Has To Decide Coach Gary Kubiak's Future

If Texans owner Bob McNair is not convinced after nearly four seasons (59 games) of watching Gary Kubiak work that he can be a great coach with the Texans, he should move on and start looking for a great one. If McNair thinks Kubiak is going to be a great coach in the next year or two, he should tell us how much he believes in his guy. This decision shouldn't be about the group of Super Bowl-winning coaches in the unemployment line and it shouldn't be about the fans who are upset the team lost to the Titans on Monday and the Colts on Sunday.

first off, the new avy is sick. love it.

secondly, you like kubiak as a coach? i don't personally think he's done a very good job. i think they would be an attractive destination for a good coach. they seem to have a lot of talent and a great fan base........

It seems like Kubiak can't win the close games or finish the ones he is winning.
They didn't even show up for the Jets game.
They could have atleast gone to overtime against Jacksonville, Arizona, Indy, and tennessee, but lost all of those games on the last play.
They gave Indy that last game after blowing a 17 point lead.
This some of the crap they would do when Capers was still here, except the texans have better players on the team than they did back then.
This team is 2-4 at home this year and lost 3 straight games against divisional opponents and they are back at the bottom of the AFC south.
They had a good chance at making the playoffs but know it is going to take a miracle
Kubiak said it himself that 8-8 won't cut it this year and think with the way they are playing now, they would be lucky be 8-8

What do you mean end up with a worse coach? What in the world gives you this guaranteed mind set that it's automatic that anyone that the Texans would hire would be worse than a guy that had never been a HC before coming to the Texans and hasn't even gone over 8-8 in 4 years? That is a play it safe "I'm afraid of change" mentality. Kubes has screwed up so many games this season it's ridiculous. He screwed up games last season as well and it's the same types of mistakes over and over. I don't think the Texans could do worse at all at this point.

There are finally some attractive names on the market this year, and the iron is HOT. I will be so freaking mad if the Texans hold onto Gary Kubiak after this year. I'll have no confidence at all going into next season.
