For the fourth time in seven home games, the Bengals have received a 24-hour extension to avoid a local television blackout for Sunday’s game against Detroit, if the game is not sold out by 1 p.m. Friday, the game will be blacked out in Cincinnati, Lexington and Dayton. The game will be aired in Columbus. The Bengals have a 50-game regular-season and playoff sellout streal, the last Bengals regular-season game not to sell out was on Nov. 9, 2003, when the Bengals hosted the Texans.

amazing. Just cause it's the Lions nobody wants to see a division leader and team that (right now) could get a first-round playoff bye... don't worry, when the Bengals make the playoffs, that place will be full of "die-hards."

Both Ohio teams needed an extension. I'm sure the economy factors in, you only have so much to spend, do you really want to spend at least $100 (parking, food, beer etc will make it a lot more) to watch a game against the Lions? It's not like the game is a division clincher or the game that will get them the #2 seed.
