Scout.com's Adam Caplan reports that the chances of Eagles running back Brian Westbrook returning before Week 17 are less than 50-50. Westbrook has already been ruled out this Sunday against Atlanta, and his forecast for the next few weeks is not too bright, either. At this point even if he did return by then, you can expect his workload to be very limited.

I pretty much think of him as a retired player right now.

When he is a free agent, if the eagles don't pick him back up then someone will pick him up for a back up. I think his starting days are over. Too injury prone.

I dont know i think there are some teams that he could start for but with lesean playing well i think the eagles just wont bring him back.
