Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata may have found a permanent spot in the offense's goal-line package after his key block paved the way for a Willis McGahee rush touchdown in Sunday night's 20-17 overtime win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Friday, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was asked whether Ngata, who played rugby in high school, has requested the football. "There’s not a guy in this building that doesn’t want the ball," Cameron said, drawing laughs from the assembled media. "There’s only one or two that are going to get it every down and that’s
Matt Birk and [quarterback] Joe Flacco. But that’s a good thing. You want guys that want the ball. And it’s nice to have Haloti healthy again so that we can utilize him. We’ll see. Kind of depends on the game plan. We’re not going to force something into the game plan that’s not there. We’re going to utilize every guy we can no matter what side of the ball he’s on."

I think Haloti actually won a national rugby championship - but seriously as one of (arguably) the best NTs in the league I think Haloti could pretty much blow up any other single player in the league.

Yeah, He isn't like any other O-Line player when it comes to ball skills. Most o-line guys when they get a pick or a fumble either fall on it and just put it down, or they fumble it again because they aren't used to holding the ball. He is a fullback's fullback if i have ever saw one.

It's inevitable. He WILL score a TD. He would have scored one in his NFL debut but he was "out of gas" (lol), and he had a pick-6 against sanchez in the preseason.

I jumped out of my seat in the 15th row Sunday nite and yelled "Large Package" when I saw Haloti come off the bench for the goal line team. I knew we were going to score. He went out for a pass on the right side on the first play. Then they went student body left and he led the way for Willis. :icon_cool:
