Adam Schefter of ESPN wrote on Friday that the Eagles are unlikely to trade quarterback Michael Vick this coming offseason. Philadelphia must decide whether to pay Vick a $1.5 million roster bonus in addition to his base salary of $3.75 million for 2010. Schefter adds that there isn't likely to be a lot of interest in Vick, who hasn't had as big of an impact in Philadelphia as expected in 2009. Source: RealGM.com
A humanitarian act indeed by signing him, but a crapty business decision. Now they're gonna pay him $5.25 million to practice and watch games on Sunday? Don't think so. He'll be gone so they can at least have a viable player on the roster even though it will cost 'em.
yeah i hope they do trade him. i'd like to see how he'd do in a place like cleveland or carolina or st. louis or washington or kansas city or oakland or buffalo or miami.
True, we might not trade him. But whether we trade or release him, he will not be an Eagle next year.
Adam Schefter of ESPN is on crack... Vick will be the future of the Eagles, Eagles are gonna trade Mcnabb. Again this season was designed to bring Vick back into the NFL "slowly" and work on his image. As you can see The Eagles and Andy Reid are doing a good job by sheltering Vick "this year". Mcnabb is not the future of the Eagles, If the Eagles where to give Mcnabb an extension, Mcnabb is gonna want BIG $$$$ I would say between 60 to 70 million... The Eagles are not gonna pay that kind of money for Mcnabb when they have Kolb and Vick. Get my point Vick isn't going anywhere, Mcnabb is gone and the Eagles will get some "Good Value " from Mcnabb... Kolb and Vick will batlle for the starting QB job next year... The Winner will be Vick
What could they trade Vick for? A couple golden retrievers for fetching the football? :icon_cheesygrin:
