Days after narrowly averting their first TV blackout in 19 years, the Chiefs face another blackout this weekend. The Chiefs announced today they must still sell about 5,500 tickets before Thursday's 1 p.m. ET deadline to avoid a TV blackout for their home finale against the Browns. NFL rules require teams to sell out their stadiums 72 hours prior to kickoff in order for the game to air in the local market and the Chiefs haven't had a blackout since Dec. 16, 1990, a streak of 156 games. Well that would be a fitting end to a glorious season. Hunt should buy up all the unsold tickets as a way of saying "Thanks for enduring this".issed:
that was a pathetic showing at the game last week. never seen so many open seats b4 like that in a long time.
Well I gotta work, but seriously...2 crappy teams...who wants to buy tickets to see that? :icon_redface: The TV station is just gonna have to give up more bucks this week. :icon_cheesygrin:
I'm not voluntarily giving my money to the team until they do something to earn it. I'm paying for their damn stadium upgrades as a county resident already. They could start by actually spending money up to the salary cap. Where's that money going? Straight in the coffers while they put up embarrasing performances on the field. I love them but something has to change.
