As an eighth-year veteran, Bears running back Adrian Peterson understands the business aspect of the NFL and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, he doesn’t expect to be a Bear in 2010. Kahlil Bell has taken all the backup reps the last four weeks, although Peterson is listed as the backup on the official depth chart. Plus Bell, a rookie, would be a cheaper option for the Bears moving forward, Peterson’s base salary is $750,000 this season; Bell’s is $310,000.

Not forgetting Garrett Wolfe as that dreaded tag of "Special Teams Ace". Honestly, I'm surprised Peterson has stuck around so long.
