The Lions claimed cornerback and kick returner Brian Witherspoon (Jaguars) off waivers. The Lions must release a player from their roster to make room for Witherspoon but that move is not expected to be one of Detroit's rookie returners -- Aaron Brown or Derrick Williams. An undrafted rookie in 2008, Witherspoon averaged 23.9 yards on 76 kick returns and 11.3 yards on 24 punt returns with the Jaguars this year. Source: MLive.com
