Albert Haynesworth, the All-Pro defensive tackle who left Tennessee for a seven-year, $100 million contract with Washington during the first hours of free agency on Feb. 27, took shots at coach Jim Zorn and defensive coordinator Greg Blache after the Redskins were pummeled 45-12 by the Giants last night. First, Haynesworth questioned the 4-10 Redskins' sense of direction, a knock at Zorn, who's expected to be fired after the final two games of the season if not beforehand. "I don't think this team is that bad," Haynesworth said. "Players ain't that bad. The score, the record say that we're horrible, but I've been around these guys a lot. I think they know how to play football. I just think we're all going in different directions and we need somebody to lead us in the right direction. You can take that however you want to." Then, No. 92, who had missed three of the past four games with a sprained ankle, criticized the way he has been used. "It's very frustrating coming from Tennessee, going 10-0 … [where] I kinda had the freedom to rush and get upfield and to pressure the quarterback," Haynesworth said. "It's totally different than what I thought here. If they'd let us loose, it'd be a whole lot better. [At Tennessee] I just rushed and they let me go and we won a bunch of games and we was up there in the top two or three on defense and sacks. [Titans defensive coordinator Jim] Schwartz got a head coaching job from it. Maybe we need to try that here."

Don't worry, Albert. You'll have a new coaching staff to snitch about soon enough.

He's got no room to complain. He came into the season out of shape, he's missed a bunch of games and when he is playing he misses a ton of plays because he's winded.

He takes no more plays off than any other of the top tackles.

Don't worry though Al there will be a full set of new coaches there next year.

How about layed out on his back out of breath, and carted off only to return later... does he do those more than other top tackles?

Also, exactly, there will be new coaches, so it's easy for the big rich guy to talk crap now when he knows the coach is out the door already. Big puss move really.

    bullcrap to the tenth power.

he should be blaming the butthole that overpaid for him, not the coaches.

You're making excuses for the highest paid defensive player in the history of the NFL taking plays off. Let me remind you...

    $41,000,000 guaranteed.

Actually he has every right to snitch. Blache is freaking this whole defense up, he keeps trying to reinvent the wheel. Rather than letting Hayensworth do what he does, he's trying to make him do this and that.

Similar to what we did with Jason Taylor, hence the reason he didn't do crap here.

Whole team played like crap, but the coaching is God awful on both ends as is the effort. Not saying he couldn't be trying harder because he could, but at the same time he's the type of player you tell, just do what you do and leave it at that. Blache doesn't do that.

Top of my head heck ups by Blache

Haynesworth - not letting him play to his style
Taylor - moving him to the opposite side of the field he hadn't played in 11 years
Landry - playing him at FS when he's a SS (that has been changing lately)
Orakpo - playing him at LB instead of DE (that has been changing lately)

Then of course Blache is too much of a cat to talk to the media after games, man is a disgrace to the team, I'd like to see him gone next year.

c'mon now HTTR, pointing fingers at the coaches is a cop out. fault lies with one person, that umpa lumpa of an owner. he has nurished a culter of losing for years now and now all you have is 53 seperate parts for roster and a coaching staff that doesn't give a heck.

I would admit Snyder is a problem, however he got rid of Cerrato who was a HUGE problem, now he's going after a pretty good coach in Shanahan, I'm quite happy with Snyders approach for next season.

When Cerrato came here, the team fell apart. I won't lie, Snyder should have got rid of his butt a long time ago, but he finally did it which is a plus.

The coaching with this team right now is terrible though. Zorn is a likable guy, but he just can't coach.

i agree with all of that HTTR, the reason i point at snyder for everything id because he has controlled everything.

now the skins have to get the right coach in there, assuming its shannahan, who will bring in guys that work in his system and coaches who will coach his system. the contant revovling door of coaches and players has made it impossible for the skins to do anything.

it does finally look like snyder gets it. that's good for you guys and not so good for the competition.

Yeah we could be very dangerous if Snyders check is in the right hands. Clearly it wasn't in Cerrato's (Archuleta, Llyod).

The problem is that Snyder has proven an innability to let anyone try to develop or build anything before he loses patience and brings in the next. Why does anyone think that he will be any different with Shanahan or whomever he gets next?

I don't know if he will, but with the way the fan base reacted this year, I think he's going to take a new approach at things.
