According to multiple league sources, it will happen in the next 24 hours: Jim Zorn will be fired as coach of the Washington Redskins. The expected change would pave the way for Washington and its new executive vice president and general manager, Bruce Allen, to step up its pursuit of former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan -- or any other candidate the team is considering. Washington closes out its season at San Diego, and it's possible that Allen could fire Zorn on the long plane ride home but it is more likely that Zorn will be dismissed Monday, once the team is back and settled in Washington.

Why doesn't Snyder do what Snyder does best and further embarrass the organization by firing Zorn at halftime?

Embarrass? How would that be embarrassing? We would probably score 7 extra points with him gone. It's not like anyone wants Zorn except possibly Holmgren cause they're such good friends.

It will baffle me if Zorn EVER coaches again in the NFL, as a head coach at least. I believe as a QB coach he knows his crap, but otherwise he's clueless.

    It wouldn't surprise me.

The Redskins won't do anything until Snyder is gone.

Hes turned them into a joke and if he were a real fan would sell the team or keep well away from all football decisions.

Its not Zorns fault. Everyone knows he was no where near ready to be a HC maybe not even an OC but who would say no to the job?

    The blame lies with Snyder

    I like Snyder.

He should have said no to the job if he wasn't prepared. He told them he wasn't able to do it all half way into this season, he could have saved us the trouble and did that last year. The blame lies with CERRATO who didn't get us linemen. He knew the line needed fixed and what did he do? Not even address it except with two older players, one of which is injury prone out the butt.

Yeah Carrato was part of the problem but who kept him there all this time? letting him make one goobered decision after another.

You can't seriously like what Snyder has done for this organisation?

Snyder is a younger version of Jerry Jones and Al Davis.

Synder is apart of the problem, you have to admit that.

He was out scouting players, what the heck does he know about players

I don't think Snyder is a genius, but at the same time he is. Think about it. Who can have a losing franchise over and over, but still sell all his season tickets, merchandise etc? Snyder.

The only problem I had with Snyder, which I stated at the time was that he allowed Vinny Cerrato to stay here, other than that I didn't have a problem with him.

So with that being said, I think you know where I stand.
