The Minnesota Vikings picked up their ninth Pro Bowl player today as wide receiver Percy Harvin was added to the NFC roster. Harvin gets the spot of Philadelphia’s DeSean Jackson, who was originally chosen as a kick returner. Jackson will not hold a spot as a receiver, creating an opening for the exiting rookie Harvin.

Harvin was added as a kick returner, not a receiver. So he did not make it over Steve Smith or Roddy White, DeSean Jackson made it over them.

I'm guessing that is what the author intended to say.

  8. That is correct.
