In a non-surprise, Texans outside lineman Brian Cushing won the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award. He received 39 out of 50 first place votes. Cushing made the Pro Bowl as a rookie and led the AFC with 134 tackles. He was nominated for Pepsi Rookie of the Week 5 times this season but never won it, he's the second Houston linebacker in four years to win the award, with middle linebacker DeMeco Ryans winning it in 2006. Cushlash was flat out dominate for the Texans this season. Congrats to him on a marvelous rookie year. Hes going to be something very special. The tradition of great USC Linebackers continues.
Cushing was a beast and should have won the award. He dominated all season long and didn't even play in pre season. He was 2nd in fantasy points in my fantasy league as well helping me to win another SB this year. Thanks Cush.
well deserved.....but the texans.....:beatadeadhorse: Phuck-N suck :duncelaugh: hate to see another good talented player get caught on this sorry butt team....
The Texans are not a sorry butt team. They are an average team with a soft butt owner who doesn't know a thing about football and is loyal to a fault and thinks Gary Kubiak is the next Greg Fisher or Bill Cowher. The Texans have plenty of good players and talent on their team.
