The careers of some Eagles - perhaps many Eagles - are DOA and one of those departing could be Michael Vick. The Eagles hold a $5 million option on the quarterback for next season but if their interest in him isn't any more significant than they displayed this season, why bother? The troubled QB never became the fleet-footed force so many envisioned in Andy Reid's wide-open offense after Reid and his staff devised very little for their overly hyped reclamation project. if nothing else, they did do vick a favor by being the first ones to sign him, and they endured the bulk of the scrutiny that any team signing him will have to endure.. so now it should be a little easier for future teams to sign him. he might not have played too much, but he should be pretty damn grateful to the eagles organization.
I think once the season started, Reid realized that it did disrupt offensive flow trying to insert Vick into the game TOO much. Vick signed with the right team because they allowed him to get his feet wet getting back into the league, and he had the right mentors in Reid and McNabb which gave him a time to get his crap together. Someone will take a chance on him this offseason, he'll be a cheap commodity, and he can compete with someone for a starting job (maybe in Buffalo, maybe in Cleveland, Oakland, St. Louis, or Seattle. Should be an interesting offseason, as he's the only FA QB I can think of that actually could make an impact....I'm probably missing someone though
I want to see him sign with a team that will start him full time. Hes fun to watch and i hope he gets back his speed and makes big plays for someone in the future.
Fun to watch? Maybe Successful? No He's in his 30's now, he not getting his speed back, and everybody knows that the arm isn't good enough. I hope the Rams don't touch him.
i would love to see vick in the silver and black, hed be awesome to watch i know he still has it in him.
yeah but vick can move not to mention he would open things up for Bush and McFadden. there is a reason his teams in atlanta were some of the best rushing teams in the NFL.
I think he'll be back in Denver. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Don't you ever give JaMarcus Russell that much credit.
