Rice retired as the NFL's career receiving leader, and Smith finished as the top rusher. Other finalists include receivers Tim Brown, Cris Carter and Andre Reed, running back Roger Craig, tight end Shannon Sharpe, center Dermontti Dawson, guard Russ Grimm, defensive tackles John Randle and Cortez Kennedy, defensive end Richard Dent, DE/linebacker Charles Haley, LB Rickey Jackson, and coach Don Coryell. Holy FREAK. Roger Craig is still in it? Wow...I'm amazed. Happy to hear that though. It'd be a freaking crime if Rice didn't get in this year and Haley should get in too. and it'd be awesome if Floyd Little made it.
Alot of great finalists selected this year. Its long overdue that Don Coryell makes the HOF. This man changed the passing game and how its played today with his vertical passing attack commonly known as "Air Coryell" made famous during his days with the Chargers and quarterback Dan Fouts.
That's what I thought....a lot of damn good players who deserve to get in....it would be tough to be one of the people who had to make cuts to that list. :icon_cheesygrin:
