Jets coach Rex Ryan said Tuesday that he was upset that New York CB Darrelle Revis lost out on the league's Defensive Player of the Year award to Packers CB Charles Woodson. Woodson got 28 of 50 votes in the balloting, with Revis finishing second with 14 votes. "It's unfortunate in that you can't get a higher individual award than that award," Ryan said of Revis, via the AP. "Hopefully, he's a young, talented player, but you can't take anything for granted." Revis largely shut down almost every receiver he faced off against this season, including Andre Johnson, Steve Smith of Carolina, Randy Moss, Chad Ochocinco and Reggie Wayne. "This, in my opinion, was the best year a corner has ever had, the most impact a corner has ever had in the National Football League," Ryan said. "That's my opinion. Apparently, that wasn't how everybody felt." Source: USAToday
eh, i didn't know his personality well enough when he was just a coordinator. as a head coach, he gets quoted a lot more so now we all know what an undeniable butt clown he is ..............
This guy is a freaking L.A.M.E.! He's always yappin' at the mouth yo, but when his team lose (and they will) he's GHOST!
im a little upset too.....revis played out of his freaking mind this year, he was by far the best corner....woodson shouldnt have gotten it over him no way i love everything rex ryan says or does btw, hes what makes america beautiful
Ryan is perhaps one of the biggest douche bags on the planet. But Revis was lights out this year. Better than Woodson imo. The closest thing to a "shut down" corner in the league.
