A bigger question than when Aaron Kampman will be ready is for whom will he be playing. An unrestricted free agent regardless of whether there is a salary cap this off-season, Kampman can shop himself freely provided the Packers don't put a franchise or transition tag on him, at this point, the Green Bay Packers probably aren't willing to cough up the $8 million or $9 million it would cost to do so. So both sides will slow-play the market and see what happens, if Kampman can't work out for teams at full strength, it would be hard for them to sign him to a huge contract, one factor could be Kampman's desire to go to a 4-3 team so he can play defensive end again. The rookie Jones has been doing a good job replacing Kampman. I would hate to see him leave, but I really think he has played his last game as a Packer. I don't see them slapping the franchise, or transition tag on him.
see ya.... one of my fav players in the last few years... but just like peeps like bubba franks the time has come to move on. good luck, we all know the guy had the ability to play end in a 4-3
yep, he didn't thrive in the 3-4 and quite honestly i don't think he wants to play in a 3-4 so he will probably go to a 4-3 team where he feels more comfortable.
