Authorities confirmed Monday afternoon that Britt was apprehended on Bloomfield Avenue for a traffic violation just after 11 p.m. Jan. 15. The incident began when officers on patrol observed Britt’s vehicle stopped in the middle of Bloomfield Avenue, said Glen Ridge Lt. Robert Wohlgemuth.
