As the Jets returned to their training facility in Florham Park to clear out their lockers Monday, Thomas Jones was noticeably absent. Jones, who was third in the NFL this season with 1,402 rushing yards, has one season left on a four-year, $20 million contract and could be the odd man out. Jones was reportedly unhappy with his 2009 salary of $900,000, and showed his disdain by skipping most of the offseason workouts.

There's been nothing but drama surrounding Jones for the last 4 years. It's a shame.

No one can deny the man has produced when on the field. He's had more yards in the last 3-4 years than he had in most of his career. He's been in the top 5 in yards and scoring. He trains like a beast. Granted he's older but he's in better shape than most other backs the same age.

Give the man a payday and let him play. Any team should be happy to have him!

Had to edit and add that I've had him in my main fantasy league the last 4 years. The guys kid around that I draft him every year but he's been a consistent source of wins for me each year! I was laughing 3 of the 4 years to the championship...SUCKERS!!
