The seven players each on the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints who were chosen to the Pro Bowl won't play in it, as this year it happens a week before the Super Bowl. But the NFL is still making the players show up. The league has told all the players who were chosen for the Pro Bowl that they'll have to be there to talk to the media before the game and stand on the sidelines at the start of it. At least they are Miami already, but this is kinda pointless. If that is the case all of the injured players should have to show up too.
but as being "pro bowlers" they should have to be there to be recognized as "a 4 (or whatever) time probowler" a few years down the line. they also get paid like over 70 grand if they win and something like 25 grand if they lose....im sure that has something to do with the requirment
How baller would it be if they all just refused to show and ate the fines? Maybe it would make Goodell realize how badly he is freaking up...or more likely not, the guy seems to be pretty thickheaded.
Being refered to as a pro bowler means nothing because guys like David Gerrard and Vince Young will be called pro bowlers because what 7 better quarterbacks can't or won't play. The Pro Bowl is a joke they should get rid of this B.S. game.
fans attending the game derserve to see all the nfl stars. .... mlb, nba, and nhl all have their "all star" game in the middle of the season.... atleast thats not the same as the nfl, it could all be alot alot worse..............duh
The Pro-Bowl is a bunch of crock. Players looking for better deals. Agents looking for better clients. NFL has nothing at stake for this game. and idk if there is anything you can do to fix it.
