Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha Wants To Play For The Jets?

Discussion in 'Oakland Raiders' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 1, 2010.

  1. The AFC's starting cornerbacks, Darrelle Revis and Nnamdi Asomugha, want to play on the same team. Oakland Raiders star cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was smiling when he brought up the dream scenario of playing alongside Darrelle Revis, but insisted he was "dead serious" and has spoken to New York Jets coach Rex Ryan about it. "Me and Revis have been talking to Rex to try to do something, you may see us in the future, there's a little bit of talk going on." Asomugha said.

been alot of nnamdi to pittsburgh rumors.

thats a world class duo, i just think it would be too good to be true, if nnamdi is being traded to NY revis would be a part of that package

I was talking to one of my NYJ fan friends about this just last night - seems like an impossibly large amount of money to spend on just one position considering there are talks of extending Revis' deal too. This is pie in the sky for my money.

ESPN is getting on my last nerve!
First they started rumors with Tom Cable, then they crown the Raiders "C'mon man Team of the decade", and now they think Nnamdi is going to the Jets!
Got damn, it's open season on the Raiders.

The only Raider that's getting traded this year is Michael Bush. Nnamdi is here to stay!

Mixed feelings on this. Nnamdi is the best CB out there and Raiders are still a few years away from contending, could get a nice return for trading him. But he is our best player by far, and we're so much better with him.

Bring Revis to Oakland though and I'm all for it

If Nnamdi really wants to leave Oaktown he must be kicking his own butt for signing a new contract in Feb. of 2009, he's pretty much stuck for at least 2 full seasons.

New York would be freaking stupid

It would take a Hershal Walker type deal, probably 2, #1's and change and new York still has alot of work to do in the personnel department, they cant afford to give up picks like that even for an elite player, or everything Ryan has set out to accomplish will go down the crapter
