Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune writes that Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson will be released before March 5, on March 4, if he knows A.J. Smith, but maybe sooner. He will leave San Diego having rushed for 12,490 yards, eighth all-time. His 138 rushing touchdowns are second all time behind Emmitt Smith. Source: San Diego Union-Tribune
