Saints Unlikely To Pursue Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson?

Discussion in 'New Orleans Saints' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 11, 2010.

  1. If the Saints want to make quarterback Drew Brees happy, maybe they'll consider trading for his close friend, Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, who appears to be on his way out in San Diego. It's tough to see where Tomlinson fits, though, with Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush on the roster. Chances are, the Saints won't make any big splashes.

PT is a better runner than LT, Bush is a better receiver. i dont see him fitting well

LT. New orleans may not want you. But please feel free to come to Houston.

Agreed...well, I don't know if he's the missing piece, but he's a good fit. He's still a better option than Chris Brown, Chris Henry, Moats or Foster, and having a vet influence of LT's level would do nothing but help Slaton's game. Also, Tomlinson is from Texas, and everyone knows how players love to finish out their careers near home.

LT in Houston would be great. it may not put them over the top in that division, but they were 1 win away this year
