    Hi.

Just the other day I finished "Total Access" by Rich Eisen (the bald, NFL Network guy), and it was a GREAT read!! So much stuff happens in the NFL World, and not only during the season. If you're a football fan like I am, I highly recommend this book.

I just placed my order for Jeff Pearlman's "Boys Will Be Boys: The Rise and Fall of the 1990's Dallas Cowboys". The reviews sold me. I'm really looking forward to it to arrive in a couple of weeks.

So, do you have any more recommendations of football books? I love reading, and I love reading about football even more.

You should be able to finish this one in one or two days. It's pretty short but good.

Yeah, I used to read suspense novels too. Like 3 or 4 a month. But lately, I found out that sports books can be very good as well.

Thanks, CW19G. I'll look it up.

Both. I don't think I'll find many football books in Spanish.

I recommend to you Eisen's book, to starters. It's an easy, enjoyable read. It costs 10 bucks in Amazon.

I read one a couple years ago called Playing for Pizza. It's about an Italian football league and their players. I'd recommend it.

Since you're a Cowboys fan, you might like a new book that just came out by David Magee, titled Playing to Win: Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. Amazon has it for $16.47. One of the sports radio stations in town was talking about it this morning. While I have not read it myself yet, I intend to do so very soon.

I've actually heard about this one too. I heard it was pretty good. It's about the washed up professional QB that plays American football in Italy right?

    It's by John Grisham too.

    Awesome bumpage...

This offseason I'm planning on getting new football books to keep me busy. I'm ordering 3 or 4 in Amazon, so I won't get ripped with the shipment, so any recommendations will be accepted.

I'm targetting Playing for Pizza and Playing to win so far...but I need a couple more.

'Romo' by Bill Romanowski was a pretty interesting read, really humanizes a guy whose got a lot of stigma in the public eye.
And I recently read a bio of Johnny Unitas called 'Johnny U' I think but it was pretty dry.

I have also read, Playing for Pizza and Bleachers, both by John Grisham... They are both short and easy reads! Very enjoyable...I have been looking into the biography of Elway and Terry Bradshaw as well....

I loved it too. The chapter about Charles Haley (quote in your sig) cracks me up every time :laughy32:

It helped me answer the question that was bothering me for 15 years. Why the hell did Jerry Jones fire Jimmy Johnson? I was way too young at the time, and didn't speak English, so I never really understood it. Now I can die in peace :eek:ld:

    **********Automerged Doublepost**********

Yes. The shipment from amazon costs about $17, so I'd like to order 4 or 5 books to make it worth it. When I ordered Boys will be boys, the shipment cost doubled the cost of the book. It was worth it, because it's impossible to get these books in this country.
