Cowboys PK Connor Hughes told the Virginia Gazette that he outperformed PK Shaun Suisham in a December kicking competition, but that he did not get the job because of a lack of experience. Hughes said, "I was invited to work out a few weeks ago with four other guys, and despite doing the best, my lack of experience was a concern for them. I guess they didn't feel comfortable with how he [Suisham] finished the year and decided after the season to give me a shot." The Cowboys have signed Hughes, and he is expected to compete for the place kicker position in 2010. Source: The Virginia Gazette
Good to hear...I thought Folk would of been our long term kicker but it's amazing what happens to a kicker once he loses confidence.
yeh cant wait to see some fresh blood, we need to bring in a lot to give the best opportunity to get the best guy the job.
