Free Agent PK Nick Folk Will Work Out For The Giants, Jets

  1. Placekicker Nick Folk, a Pro Bowler as a rookie in 2007, was abruptly cut after Week 15 of last season, not long after the Cowboys considered putting him on injured reserve in the hopes that he'd work through whatever it was that has caused him to develop a case of the kicking yips. Instead, he's on the market, and he'll be heading to one town later this week for two tryouts. Per a league source, Folk is heading to New York, where he'll work out for both the Giants and the Jets.

  2. If Folk can somehow get his head on straight, it would be a good signing.

    Hopefully.

qft. his problem is more mental than anything to do with his leg.

While I think Folk can still be a good kicker for someone I'd rather just keep Tynes. He's be better in Green.

I wouldn't mind seeing him sign with the Giants and then missing game winning field goals against the Cowboys. :icon_cheesygrin:
