The Raiders have to work out a deal with defensive lineman Richard Seymour whom they traded a 2011 first-round pick to New England for before last season. If Oakland cannot sign Seymour to a long-term deal by Feb. 25, the team is expected to use the franchise tag to keep him for next season. Seymour, a five-time Pro Bowler, would be guaranteed $12,398,000 with a franchise tag.

LOL and a lot fries to go with that burger.
I don't mind seeing proven players getting a huge contract or a pay day. What upsets me is the rookie wages. The top 5 rookies in this year's draft will around $30 million in guaranteed money.

Al Davis don't mind paying one player that much for one season's work.

NFL is the only league where Rookies fresh out the draft. can get 20+ Mil guranteed or even 5 mil+ for that matter.

Well if we are willing to pay a crapty kicker 4 mil a year I see no reason why we shouldn't pay a real player 3 times that.

    They'll do it...

The Raiders will probably be the one team to spend ridiculously instead of saving the cash and trying to make a little coin...

We'd free up a lot of money for good players if we cut Jamarcus this year. Too bad the Org. can't see that.
